Track 1.1 Research-based:
Complete a dissertation of no less than 48 Credits and optional additional courses without credits.
Track 2.1 Coursework and Research:
Complete a dissertation of no less than 36 Credits and coursework of no less than 21 credits.
Track 2.2 Master’s degree and Doctoral degree:
Complete a dissertation of no less than 48 Credits and coursework of no less than 27 credits.

The subjects do not assign credits and do not count as the average score. Students must study to prepare themselves before entering the Doctor of Philosophy program with a duration of not less than 20 hours.

  • Remarks:
    1.The teaching focuses on developing the skills in writing academic papers in English. The conditions for studying supplementary English courses are in accordance with the institute's announcement.
    2.The subject can be waived if the applicant has a TOEFL score of 550 or more or an IELTS level 6.0 or higher, with results required before the semester opens.

    Coursework Duration: 4 Semesters (Classes will be taught on weekends, however, some courses may be taught on weekdays.)

    Entry Requirements

    1. Applicants must hold a master’s degree or the equivalent in any fields that is accredited by Office of the Higher Education Commission, Thailand.
    2. Applicants must have an IELTS or TOEFL test score of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) or Institute of International Education for consideration for admission in any of the following cases:
    • If applicants have a TOEFL score of 550 or higher, or an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, they can apply for admission. Once accepted, the foundation English subjects will be exempt according to the conditional graduate studies criteria specified by at the Graduate School of Language and Communication.
    • If applicants have a TOEFL score of 500 or higher but less than 550, or an IELTS score of 5.0 or higher but less than 6.5, they can apply for admission. Once accepted, they must attend foundation English subjects according to the conditional graduate studies criteria specified by at the Graduate School of Language and Communication.
    • If applicants do not have any TOEFL or IELTS score, they can apply for admission. Once accepted, they must attend foundation English subjects according to the conditional graduate studies criteria specified by at the Graduate School of Language and Communication and must take a TOEFL English proficiency test of not less than 500 score or IELTS level 6.0 or higher before graduation.
    • The aforementioned English language test results must valid until the beginning of the first semester registered as a student. For those completed a bachelor's degree and / or a master's degree in a program that has been taught in English not more than 5 years with a cumulative GPA of not less than 2.75 at the bachelor's degree and 3.25 at the master's degree. Waiver may be considered based on the committee's discretion.
    3. The applicants must have a letter certifying that he is qualified to pursue a doctorate degree from a professor, advisors, or supervisor at bachelor or master level or supervisors at workplace in total of 3 people.
    4. Applicants are able to devote full time to do research until the completion of the program, accept the requirements for writing the thesis in English, and publish dissertation in the journal or academic publications with peer review.
    Remarks
    Applicants applying Track 1.1 (research-based) must have a good level of research knowledge or have at least one research work with a workload of not less than 80% or have published work in at least one academic journal or received research funding from a recognized agency.
    Applicants applying Plan 2.2 (Master’s and Doctoral degree) must have completed a bachelor's degree in any field from an institution accredited by Office of the Higher Education Commission, Thailand, with a GPA of 3.50 or received a 1st class honor.
